Hi!
I'm Bhabani Sankar, a PhD student in theoretical physics at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai.
I work broadly in theoretical nuclear and particle physics, with a particular interest in understanding hadrons and the strong interaction from first principles. You can check out my Inspire-HEP page for recent publication details.
I am particularly fascinated by how the rich spectrum and structure of hadrons emerge from the underlying dynamics of quarks and gluons.
Curious about Lattice QCD?
If you are curious about how we study quarks, gluons, and the strong interaction using numerical simulations, this conversation with Prof. Agostino Patella offers a nice and accessible introduction to lattice QCD.

In our recent work, we developed a practical method to determine the sign of the fermion determinant in lattice QCD simulations with Wilson fermions. By identifying the relevant low-lying eigenvalues of the Dirac operator, the method allows rare sign changes to be detected and correctly incorporated into precision lattice calculations.
